Messi joined Barcelona’s La Masia academy from Rosario, Argentina, in 2000 and made his first-team debut in 2004. For Barcelona he won the Champions League four times and became the club’s all-time top scorer. With Argentina he waited years for a senior trophy, then won the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 11 Messi milestone tiles

The tiles follow his career in order. La Masia marks his move to Barcelona’s academy in 2000, then comes his league debut in 2004 and the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he won the Golden Ball and Golden Boot. Olympic gold followed in Beijing in 2008. In 2009 he scored in the Champions League final and won his first Ballon d’Or. The 91 Goals tile marks his record calendar year in 2012, and Barça Record his 2014 move past Paulino Alcántara as the club’s top scorer. Copa América 2021 and the 2022 Finalissima lead to the World Cup.

Tips to win Messi 2048

  1. Park your top tile in a corner like a striker who never leaves the box. Once Copa América is in the corner, keep swiping toward it so the smaller tiles stack up beside it.
  2. Line up tiles in order along one edge, for example Ballon d’Or, 91 Goals and Barça Record side by side. One merge then sets off the next and your chain moves up quickly.
  3. Do not chase every merge. Before each swipe, check which tile will slide into your corner. A stray La Masia tile in the wrong spot can block your whole chain.

Messi 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Messi 2048?

The final tile is the World Cup. Messi captained Argentina to the trophy in Qatar in December 2022 and won the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player, the moment many fans see as the peak of his career.

How many Ballon d’Or awards has Messi won?

Messi has won the Ballon d’Or a record eight times: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2021 and 2023. The game uses a single Ballon d’Or tile for his first win in 2009.

Can I play Messi 2048 on my phone?

Yes. The game works in any modern mobile browser. Swipe up, down, left or right to move the tiles. On a computer you can use the arrow keys instead.

Why does the ladder stop at 2022?

The ladder is built to finish on his biggest achievement. His later years with Inter Miami are part of the story, but the 2022 World Cup is the natural top tile, so it takes the 2048 spot.
