Play Cupcakes 2048 online
Cupcakes 2048 is the classic sliding number puzzle with a bakery theme. Every tile is a cupcake flavour, and merging two of the same bakes the next, fancier one. Start with plain vanilla and keep combining until you finish a full cupcake tower. It is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download.
Cupcakes are older than you might think. A 1796 American cookbook by Amelia Simmons already mentions a cake to be baked in small cups, and the word cupcake shows up in print in 1828 in a recipe book by Eliza Leslie. Baking in small portions meant the cakes cooked faster and more evenly than one big loaf.
The 11 cupcake tiles
The ladder moves from simple to show-stopping. It begins with the plain classics, vanilla and chocolate, then goes fruity with strawberry, lemon and blueberry. Carrot cake brings warm spice, salted caramel mixes sweet and salty, and red velvet arrives with its usual cream cheese frosting. Cookies and cream adds crunch, and the birthday sprinkle cupcake is the party favourite. The 2048 tile is the cupcake tower, the tiered stand of cupcakes often used in place of a wedding or birthday cake. Each step is a little more elaborate than the last, just like a bakery counter.

2048Tips to win Cupcakes 2048
- Choose one corner of the tin and keep your best cupcake there. Build your next-biggest flavours along the same edge so the Birthday Sprinkle can grow into the Cupcake Tower in place.
- Keep a falling row like Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Carrot Cake, Blueberry. When a new Blueberry merges into it, the whole row can rise one flavour in a few swipes.
- Use two main directions and avoid the opposite one. A wrong swipe can drop a small Vanilla tile next to your tower and block the merges you planned.
