Slime 2048 is the classic merge puzzle with a squishy twist. Slide every tile with a swipe or the arrow keys, and when two of the same slime meet they blend into a better one. Keep mixing until you make Unicorn Slime. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or computer, and it is much less messy than the real thing.

Homemade slime is mostly glue plus an activator, and small changes make very different textures. Shaving foam makes it fluffy, soft clay makes butter slime, foam beads make it crunchy and instant snow gives cloud slime its drizzly stretch. The ladder runs through those textures from the simplest to the showiest.

The 11 Slime tiles

The ladder goes from the most basic slime to the fanciest. Glue is where every batch starts, and clear slime is the simplest result. Glitter adds sparkle, fluffy slime is puffed up with foam and butter slime is soft and spreadable. Crunchy slime has beads mixed in, cloud slime has a fluffy, drizzly feel and a jelly cube is a soft wobbly block. Galaxy slime swirls dark colours with glitter, rainbow slime mixes every colour in stripes, and Unicorn Slime, pastel and sparkly, sits on the 2048 tile as the rarest batch of all.

Guide

How to play Slime 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

Use your arrow keys ( ← ↑ ↓ → ) or W A S D to move the tiles.

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new Glue tile appears after every move.

Step 2 · Swipe

Play on your phone

On a phone or tablet, swipe anywhere on the board to move the tiles.

Your game is saved in your browser, so you can pick it up later on the same device.

Step 3 · Merge

Match two to unlock the next

When two tiles with the same picture touch, they merge into one.

Two Glue tiles make Clear Slime, and every merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.

Step 4 · Goal

Reach the final tile

The goal is to build the 2048 tile: Unicorn Slime.

You can keep playing after you reach it and chase an even higher score.

Tips to win Slime 2048

  1. Keep your stretchiest tile in one corner and do not move it. Once Rainbow Slime is parked there, build the next one beside it for an easy Unicorn merge.
  2. Make a line of slimes that step down from the corner: Galaxy, Jelly Cube, Cloud, Crunchy. Every merge at the small end then oozes towards the big end.
  3. Squish small tiles together early. Leftover Glue and Clear Slime tiles spread out quickly, so merge them before they gum up the board.

Slime 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Slime 2048?

The final tile is Unicorn Slime, a pastel, glittery slime that sits at the top of the ladder as the most magical batch. You make it by merging two Rainbow Slime tiles, which are the 1024 tiles in the game.

What is butter slime?

Butter slime is slime mixed with soft modelling clay. The clay makes it thick, smooth and easy to spread, a bit like butter. In Slime 2048 it is the 32 tile, right after fluffy slime.

Can kids play Slime 2048?

Yes. The game has no chat, no sign-up and nothing to buy, and it runs in a web browser. It is a simple, friendly puzzle that helps with planning moves ahead.

How do I get a high score in Slime 2048?

Keep your biggest tile in a corner, build a descending row next to it and avoid swiping away from that corner. Your score grows with every merge, and the larger tiles add the most points.
