Michael Jordan 2048 turns the classic number puzzle into a tour of one of basketball’s greatest careers. Each tile is a real milestone, and merging two of the same moves you forward in time. Begin with his freshman game-winner at North Carolina and keep combining until you lift the Sixth Ring tile. Play free in your browser on a phone, tablet or desktop.

Jordan’s story fits a doubling ladder well because it kept getting bigger. He was picked third in the 1984 draft by the Chicago Bulls, won the Olympic gold that summer, and later led the Bulls to two separate three-peats. His 1998 shot over Utah in Game 6 of the Finals sealed the sixth championship.

The 11 Michael Jordan tiles

The ladder is chronological. It opens with his game-winning jumper in the 1982 NCAA final for North Carolina, then the Bulls drafting him third overall in June 1984 and the Olympic gold in Los Angeles that summer. Next come the 1985 Rookie of the Year award and the first Air Jordan shoe, his 1988 Slam Dunk Contest win and first MVP that same season. The 1991 first NBA title, the 1992 Barcelona Dream Team and the record 72–10 season in 1995–96 lead to the top tile: the sixth ring, won in 1998.

Tips to win Michael Jordan 2048

  1. Keep the biggest tile locked in one corner, the way Jordan owned the end of games. Feed it from one row so the First Ring tile can grow into Dream Team without moving.
  2. Line up tiles in descending order next to your corner, for example Dream Team, First Ring, First MVP, Dunk Contest. One merge at the end can then roll the whole row up a step.
  3. Avoid swiping away from your corner. If you must, make it the move that shifts the fewest tiles, then swipe straight back to close the gap before a small tile lands there.
