Play Animals 2048 online

Animals 2048 is the classic number puzzle as a trip through the animal kingdom. Slide the tiles with a swipe or the arrow keys, and merge two of the same animal to make a bigger one. Start with an ant and work up to the Blue Whale. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or computer.

The tiles grow roughly by size, which makes the ladder easy to follow. Giraffes are the tallest animals alive, African elephants are the heaviest animals on land, and the blue whale is the largest animal known to have ever lived, bigger than any dinosaur. Each merge takes you one step up the size chart.

The 11 Animals tiles

The ladder runs from small to huge. The ant is the tiniest tile, followed by a mouse, a frog and a rabbit. Foxes and wolves are medium-sized hunters, and the bear is one of the largest land predators. The giraffe stands taller than any other animal, and the rhino is one of the heaviest. The elephant is the largest animal on land today. The Blue Whale takes the 2048 tile because it is the largest animal that has ever lived, about as long as a basketball court and heavier than any dinosaur known.

Tips to win Animals 2048

  1. Choose a corner for your biggest animal and keep it there, like a den. If the Elephant lives in the corner, a second Elephant beside it brings the Blue Whale.
  2. Line up your animals by size along one edge: Rhino, Giraffe, Bear, Wolf. Then every merge at the small end moves up the food chain towards the corner.
  3. Clear small tiles while you can. Spare Ants and Mice multiply quickly, so merge them early before they take over the empty squares.
