Play Call of Duty 2048 online

Call of Duty 2048 turns the classic merge puzzle into a killstreak chase. Every tile is a reward from the multiplayer of the original Modern Warfare 2, and two matching rewards merge into the next, bigger one. Keep the board clear, chain your merges and push all the way to the Tactical Nuke. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or PC, no download needed.

Modern Warfare 2 was developed by Infinity Ward and released by Activision in November 2009. Its multiplayer let players pick three killstreak rewards, earned by getting kills without dying. A UAV revealed enemies on the map, while the top reward, the Tactical Nuke, needed 25 kills in a row and ended the match on the spot.

The 11 killstreak tiles

The ladder uses killstreak rewards from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), ordered from the cheapest to the most powerful. It starts with the UAV and the Counter-UAV, which jams the enemy radar, then the Care Package airdrop and the Sentry Gun. Next come the guided Predator Missile, the Precision Airstrike, shown as Precision Strike, and the Harrier Strike. The Pave Low and Chopper Gunner bring helicopters into play, and the AC-130 puts you in control of a gunship. The Tactical Nuke, the rarest reward in the game, takes the 2048 tile.

Guide

How to play Call of Duty 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

Use your arrow keys ( ← ↑ ↓ → ) or W A S D to move the tiles.

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new UAV tile appears after every move.

Step 2 · Swipe

Play on your phone

On a phone or tablet, swipe anywhere on the board to move the tiles.

Your game is saved in your browser, so you can pick it up later on the same device.

Step 3 · Merge

Match two to unlock the next

When two tiles with the same picture touch, they merge into one.

Two UAV tiles make Counter-UAV, and every merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.

Step 4 · Goal

Reach the final tile

The goal is to build the 2048 tile: Tactical Nuke.

You can keep playing after you reach it and chase an even higher score.

Tips to win Call of Duty 2048

  1. Hold one corner like a well-defended spawn. Park your highest reward there, such as the Pave Low, and keep swiping toward it so it never gets flanked.
  2. Build your streak in order along one edge: Harrier Strike, Precision Strike, Predator Missile. When the small end merges, the chain can roll up in a single move.
  3. Don’t panic-swipe when the board gets crowded. Look for the move that keeps your corner and edge row intact, even if it makes no merge this turn.

Call of Duty 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Call of Duty 2048?

The final tile is the Tactical Nuke. In Modern Warfare 2 it required a 25-kill streak and instantly ended the match in your team’s favour, which makes it the perfect reward for reaching 2048.

Which Call of Duty game are the tiles from?

All eleven tiles are killstreak rewards from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, released in 2009. Later games reworked many of them, but this set is the one most players remember.

Is Call of Duty 2048 an official Activision game?

No. It is a free fan-made puzzle that only uses killstreak names as tile labels. It has no connection to Activision or Infinity Ward and uses no game artwork.

How do I score more points?

Each merge adds the value of the new tile to your score, so keep merging up rather than spreading out. A corner strategy with a tidy chain of tiles gives you the longest runs.
