Play Fortnite 2048 online

Fortnite 2048 swaps the numbers of the classic puzzle for battle royale loot. Start with a humble pickaxe, merge two matching items to upgrade them, and work through building materials and healing items to the Battle Bus and a Victory Royale. Every swipe moves all the tiles at once. Play free in your browser on a phone, tablet or PC, with nothing to install.

Epic Games launched Fortnite in 2017, and its free Battle Royale mode arrived that September. Every match starts with players jumping from the Battle Bus and ends when one player or squad is left for the Victory Royale. In between, you farm wood, brick and metal with your pickaxe and hunt for heals like Slurp Juice and the Chug Jug.

The 11 Fortnite loot tiles

The ladder follows a match from the ground up. Your pickaxe is the one tool you always land with, and it harvests the three building materials, which get sturdier in order: wood, brick and metal. Next come the heals and shields: a Bandage, a Shield Potion, Slurp Juice, which tops up health and shield over time, and the Chug Jug, a classic full heal. The Supply Llama is a rare loot stash. The Battle Bus and the Victory Royale bookend every game, so the win sits on the 2048 tile.

Guide

How to play Fortnite 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

Use your arrow keys ( ← ↑ ↓ → ) or W A S D to move the tiles.

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new Pickaxe tile appears after every move.

Step 2 · Swipe

Play on your phone

On a phone or tablet, swipe anywhere on the board to move the tiles.

Your game is saved in your browser, so you can pick it up later on the same device.

Step 3 · Merge

Match two to unlock the next

When two tiles with the same picture touch, they merge into one.

Two Pickaxe tiles make Wood, and every merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.

Step 4 · Goal

Reach the final tile

The goal is to build the 2048 tile: Victory Royale.

You can keep playing after you reach it and chase an even higher score.

Tips to win Fortnite 2048

  1. Treat one corner like high ground and never give it up. Keep your Chug Jug there and build your other tiles out from it in descending order.
  2. Merge low tiles early, the way you farm materials before a fight. Clearing spare Wood and Brick tiles keeps space open so the board does not fill up with junk.
  3. Avoid swiping away from your corner unless you have no other move. If you must, swipe sideways along your full row rather than pulling your best tile into the open.

Fortnite 2048 FAQ
