Play Anime 2048 online

Anime 2048 is the classic number puzzle as a tour of Japanese animation. Swipe the tiles, and when two matching series meet they merge into the next landmark show. Start with Astro Boy from the 1960s and work your way through the decades to Demon Slayer at 2048. Play free in your browser on a phone or a computer.

Each tile is a series that changed anime when its TV adaptation first aired. Astro Boy, based on Osamu Tezuka’s manga, began in 1963 and set the style for weekly TV anime. Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon became worldwide hits, the One Piece anime began in 1999 and has passed 1,000 episodes, and the Demon Slayer film Mugen Train became the highest-grossing film ever in Japan in 2020.

The 11 Anime tiles

The ladder runs in order of each anime’s TV debut. Astro Boy (1963) comes first, then the long-running Doraemon series that began in 1979. Dragon Ball (1986) and Sailor Moon (1992) carried anime around the world. Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) reshaped mecha stories, and Pokémon (1997) made Pikachu a global star. One Piece started in 1999 and has passed 1,000 episodes, followed by Naruto (2002) and Death Note (2006). Attack on Titan (2013) and Demon Slayer (2019) are modern giants. Demon Slayer is the 2048 tile as the newest series here and the one behind Japan’s box office record.

Tips to win Anime 2048

  1. Pick a corner as your home base and keep your top series there. With Attack on Titan in the corner, build a second one beside it to unlock Demon Slayer.
  2. Train a chain along one edge, like Death Note, Naruto, One Piece, Pokémon. Merging the small end powers up the whole row, like a training arc.
  3. Don’t make a reckless move just to merge two Astro Boy tiles. Keeping the big tiles locked on one wall matters more than any small combo.

Anime 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Anime 2048?

The final tile is Demon Slayer, whose TV anime began in 2019. Its film Mugen Train became the highest-grossing film in Japanese box office history in 2020, which makes it a fitting top tile for a ladder that starts in 1963.

What order are the anime tiles in?

They follow the year each TV anime first aired: Astro Boy, Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Pokémon, One Piece, Naruto, Death Note, Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer.

Why does Doraemon have 1979 on its tile?

Doraemon had a short-lived TV series in 1973, but the long-running version that made it famous started on TV Asahi in 1979. The ladder uses that date because it is the series most fans know.

Is Anime 2048 free on phones?

Yes. Anime 2048 runs free in mobile browsers on iPhone and Android, and on computers. Swipe or use the arrow keys to move the tiles. There is nothing to download.
