Play Dragon Ball 2048 online

Dragon Ball 2048 is the classic merge puzzle with a martial-arts twist. Each tile is a character or item from the series, and matching two tiles powers you up to the next. Start with a single Dragon Ball and keep merging until you summon Shenron. It is free to play in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install.

Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball began in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1984, loosely based on the Chinese novel Journey to the West. The plot often turns on the seven Dragon Balls: gather them all and Shenron, the Eternal Dragon, appears to grant a wish. That makes merging up to Shenron a natural goal for this board.

The 11 Dragon Ball tiles

The ladder roughly follows rising power. It starts with a single Dragon Ball and Bulma, the inventor whose Dragon Radar finds them. Yamcha and Krillin are early fighters, and Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit, invented the Kamehameha and trained Goku and Krillin. Piccolo, a Namekian, goes from enemy to ally, and Gohan is Goku’s son. Frieza is the tyrant of the Namek saga, and Vegeta is the proud Saiyan prince. Goku, the hero, is the strongest fighter. The 2048 tile is Shenron, the dragon summoned when all seven balls are gathered.

Guide

How to play Dragon Ball 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

Use your arrow keys ( ← ↑ ↓ → ) or W A S D to move the tiles.

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new 1-Star Ball tile appears after every move.

Step 2 · Swipe

Play on your phone

On a phone or tablet, swipe anywhere on the board to move the tiles.

Your game is saved in your browser, so you can pick it up later on the same device.

Step 3 · Merge

Match two to unlock the next

When two tiles with the same picture touch, they merge into one.

Two 1-Star Ball tiles make Bulma, and every merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.

Step 4 · Goal

Reach the final tile

The goal is to build the 2048 tile: Shenron.

You can keep playing after you reach it and chase an even higher score.

Tips to win Dragon Ball 2048

  1. Pick a corner and keep your strongest tile there. Goku should sit beside it, because two Goku tiles merge into Shenron, and you want that to happen without moving the corner.
  2. Train a falling row like Vegeta, Frieza, Gohan, Piccolo. One merge at the low end can then power up the whole line, much like a long fight scene.
  3. Avoid wasted moves. If a swipe does not merge anything and opens a gap by your best tiles, look for another direction first.
