One Piece 2048 is the classic sliding puzzle set on the Grand Line. Swipe or use the arrow keys to move every tile, and merge two matching tiles to recruit the next member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Your goal is to reach the captain himself, Monkey D. Luffy. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or computer.

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has run in Weekly Shōnen Jump since 1997. It follows Luffy, a rubber-bodied boy who wants to become King of the Pirates, as he builds a crew one member at a time. The ladder adds the Straw Hats in the order they joined, so every merge feels like a new arc beginning.

The 11 One Piece tiles

The ladder starts with the Going Merry, the crew’s first ship, a gift from Usopp’s home village. Then the Straw Hats join in story order: Zoro the swordsman, Nami the navigator, Usopp the sniper and Sanji the cook. Chopper the reindeer doctor joins on Drum Island, followed by Robin the archaeologist and Franky the cyborg shipwright, who builds the Thousand Sunny. Brook, the skeleton musician, and Jinbe, the fish-man helmsman, complete the crew. Luffy takes the 2048 tile because the whole crew sails under his straw hat and his dream.

Guide

How to play One Piece 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

Use your arrow keys ( ← ↑ ↓ → ) or W A S D to move the tiles.

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new Going Merry tile appears after every move.

Step 2 · Swipe

Play on your phone

On a phone or tablet, swipe anywhere on the board to move the tiles.

Your game is saved in your browser, so you can pick it up later on the same device.

Step 3 · Merge

Match two to unlock the next

When two tiles with the same picture touch, they merge into one.

Two Going Merry tiles make Zoro, and every merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.

Step 4 · Goal

Reach the final tile

The goal is to build the 2048 tile: Luffy.

You can keep playing after you reach it and chase an even higher score.

Tips to win One Piece 2048

  1. Keep your strongest crew member anchored in one corner, like a ship at harbour. With Jinbe holding the corner, build a second Jinbe beside him and Luffy is one move away.
  2. Build a line of the crew from strongest to weakest along one edge: Brook, Franky, Robin, Chopper. Then merges at the small end sail up towards the corner.
  3. Avoid swiping away from your corner. One wrong move can drop a Going Merry tile beside your best tile, and that can take many turns to fix.

One Piece 2048 FAQ
