Play Cakes 2048 online

Cakes 2048 is the classic number puzzle on a bakery counter. Swipe the board, and when two identical cakes meet they turn into a bigger, fancier one. Start with a cupcake, bake your way through favourites from around the world and finish with a tiered wedding cake at 2048. Play free in your browser on a phone or a computer.

The cakes on the ladder come from many kitchens. Mooncakes are eaten in China and across East Asia during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Black Forest cake, from Germany, layers chocolate sponge with cherries and cream. Tiramisu is an Italian dessert of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone, and red velvet is usually topped with cream cheese frosting.

The 11 Cakes tiles

The ladder grows from single bites to the biggest celebration cake. A cupcake is the smallest, followed by the mooncake, a round pastry for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and a slice of strawberry shortcake. Cheesecake, carrot cake and lemon drizzle are everyday café favourites. Black Forest cake brings chocolate and cherries, red velvet adds its deep red sponge, and tiramisu, though not baked, is a layered Italian classic. The birthday cake, with candles, is the party step. The wedding cake, often stacked in several tiers, is the 2048 tile because it is the grandest cake most people ever see.

Tips to win Cakes 2048

  1. Keep your biggest cake in one corner of the counter. With the Birthday Cake in place, line up a second Birthday Cake next to it for the wedding finale.
  2. Stack a row from large to small, like Tiramisu, Red Velvet, Black Forest, Lemon Drizzle. Merging the end of the row lets each cake rise one level.
  3. Avoid moving your corner cake for a quick Cupcake merge. Plan two moves ahead and pick swipes that keep the big tiles against the same wall.
