Play Candy 2048 online

Candy 2048 is the classic sliding number puzzle with a sugary theme. Every tile is a sweet, and merging two of the same turns them into a bigger treat. Start with a single jelly bean and work your way up to the Candy Shop. It is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and it has zero calories.

Some of these sweets have surprising histories. Candy corn dates back to the 1880s in the United States. The machine for spun-sugar cotton candy was patented in 1897 by dentist William Morrison and confectioner John C. Wharton, and they sold it as Fairy Floss at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis.

The 11 candy tiles

The ladder moves from tiny bites to the whole store. Jelly beans and gummy bears are the small, chewy start, followed by autumn candy corn. Then come a wrapped hard candy and a swirly lollipop. Honeycomb toffee adds crunch, cotton candy brings the fairground, and the candy apple has its glossy sugar shell. The chocolate bar is the classic, and a box of chocolates is the gift version. The 2048 tile is the Candy Shop, where every sweet on the board sits on the shelves together.

Tips to win Candy 2048

  1. Keep your top tile in one corner like the shop counter. The Chocolate Box should sit right beside it, ready to merge with another into the Candy Shop.
  2. Build a falling row such as Chocolate Bar, Candy Apple, Cotton Candy, Honeycomb. When the smallest one merges, the rest can follow in a quick chain.
  3. Do not grab every merge you see. A merge in the middle can scatter your row, so favour moves that keep your big sweets lined up along one edge.
