Play Starbucks 2048 online

Starbucks 2048 is the classic merge puzzle served at the coffee bar. Every tile is a drink from the menu, and merging two of the same moves you to a bigger, sweeter order. Start with a single espresso shot and work up to the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, no download needed.

Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle in 1971, near Pike Place Market, selling coffee beans rather than drinks. Espresso drinks came later. The blended Frappuccino joined the menu in 1995, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte arrived in 2003, going on to become the chain’s best-known seasonal drink.

The 11 Starbucks tiles

The ladder builds up from the basic shot. Espresso comes first, then the Americano, which is espresso topped up with hot water. Cappuccino, caffè latte and the flat white are milk drinks, each with a different balance of foam and steamed milk. Cold brew is coffee steeped slowly in cold water. The caramel macchiato is layered with vanilla and caramel, and the caffè mocha adds chocolate. The matcha latte swaps coffee for green tea, and the Frappuccino is blended with ice. The 2048 tile is the Pumpkin Spice Latte, the autumn favourite since 2003.

Tips to win Starbucks 2048

  1. Keep your biggest drink in one corner and never move it out. The Frappuccino should sit next to it, so two of them can blend into the Pumpkin Spice tile.
  2. Line up a falling row such as Matcha Latte, Caffè Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, Cold Brew. One merge at the end then upgrades the whole order.
  3. Use two swipe directions most of the time. Pressing the opposite way can drop a new Espresso right next to your best drinks and block them.

Starbucks 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Starbucks 2048?

The final tile is the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Introduced in 2003, it became the chain’s most recognisable seasonal drink, so it tops a ladder that starts with a single espresso.

Is Starbucks 2048 an official Starbucks game?

No. It is an unofficial fan game based on the 2048 puzzle. It only uses drink names and emoji and is not connected to or endorsed by Starbucks.

What is the difference between a latte and a flat white?

A flat white usually has less milk and a thinner layer of microfoam than a latte, so the coffee tastes stronger. Starbucks makes its flat white with ristretto shots.

Can I play Starbucks 2048 on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any mobile browser, so you can play a round while you wait for your order. Swipe to move the tiles.
