Disney 2048 is the classic number puzzle with famous animated characters on the tiles. Merge two matching characters to meet the next one, moving from the first Disney features to modern hits. Plan your swipes and keep space on the board to reach Mickey Mouse at the top. It is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, no download required.

Walt Disney Animation Studios released Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, the first full-length cel-animated feature film. Classics like Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi followed within five years. Decades later, The Little Mermaid started a new golden age, and films such as Frozen and Moana carried it forward.

The 11 Disney character tiles

The first ten tiles follow the year each character’s film came out. Snow White from 1937 is followed by Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi from the early 1940s, then Cinderella in 1950. Ariel from The Little Mermaid (1989) and Simba from The Lion King (1994) come from the studio’s revival years. Stitch arrived in Lilo and Stitch in 2002, Elsa in Frozen in 2013 and Moana in 2016. Mickey Mouse breaks the date order on purpose: he first appeared in Steamboat Willie in 1928, and as the company’s mascot he earns the 2048 tile.

Tips to win Disney 2048

  1. Choose one corner as your castle and keep your strongest character there. If Simba sits bottom-right, rely on down and right so he is never pushed out.
  2. Line your characters up in order along one edge, like Elsa next to Stitch next to Simba. When the smaller one merges, the next merge is already in place.
  3. Merge small tiles like Snow White and Pinocchio as soon as you can. Leaving them scattered fills the board quickly and blocks your bigger merges.

Disney 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Disney 2048?

The final tile is Mickey Mouse. He made his famous debut in the 1928 short Steamboat Willie and has been the face of Disney ever since, so he takes the top spot even though he is older than the other characters.

What order do the Disney tiles go in?

Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Ariel, Simba, Stitch, Elsa, Moana and finally Mickey Mouse. The first ten follow the release year of their films.

Is Disney 2048 an official Disney game?

No. It is a free fan-made puzzle that uses character names as tile labels. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company and uses no Disney artwork.

Do I need to know the films to play Disney 2048?

Not at all. The game plays exactly like classic 2048, so the tiles work as a guide to which characters merge next. Knowing the films just makes it more fun to see who appears as you climb.
