Hunger Games 2048 is the classic sliding puzzle set in Panem. Swipe or use the arrow keys to move every tile, and merge two matching tiles to get one step further through the Games. Start in District 12 and keep merging until the Mockingjay rises. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or computer.

Suzanne Collins published The Hunger Games in 2008, followed by Catching Fire and Mockingjay. The story follows Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers in place of her sister at the Reaping. Two prequels have followed, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Sunrise on the Reaping, and a film of Sunrise on the Reaping is due in November 2026.

The 11 Hunger Games tiles

The ladder follows Katniss through her first Games. It begins in District 12, the coal-mining district she calls home, and the Reaping, where tributes are chosen. In the Capitol comes the tribute parade, where Cinna’s flaming costume makes her the Girl on Fire. Her bow, the Cornucopia full of supplies and the arena itself lead to the silver parachutes that carry sponsor gifts. The nightlock berries are her final act of defiance, and she leaves as a Victor. The Mockingjay takes the 2048 tile, because the bird on her pin becomes the symbol of the rebellion.

How to play Hunger Games 2048

Step 1 · Move

Slide every tile at once

All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction, and a new District 12 tile appears after every move.

Tips to win Hunger Games 2048

  1. Pick a corner as your safe camp and keep your biggest tile there. Once Victor holds it, a second Victor beside it brings the Mockingjay.
  2. Keep a row in order along one edge: Nightlock, Sponsor Gift, The Arena, Cornucopia. Then each merge moves towards the corner instead of wandering the board.
  3. Play like a survivor, not a Career. Avoid risky swipes away from your corner, and clear small District 12 and Reaping tiles before they trap you.

Hunger Games 2048 FAQ

What is the final tile in Hunger Games 2048?

The final tile is the Mockingjay. It starts as the pin Katniss wears into the arena and grows into the symbol of the rebellion against the Capitol. The third book and the last films are named after it, so it is the ladder’s natural peak.

What are nightlock berries?

Nightlock is a poisonous berry in the arena. At the end of the first Games, Katniss and Peeta threaten to eat them together rather than let the Capitol have a single winner. It is the 512 tile.

Is Hunger Games 2048 free?

Yes. It is free to play in your web browser, on phones, tablets and computers. There is no download, no sign-up and nothing to buy.

Is Hunger Games 2048 an official game?

No. It is a fan-made puzzle that uses names from the books as tile labels with standard emoji pictures. It is not made by or connected to Suzanne Collins, Scholastic or Lionsgate.
