Doctor Who first aired on the BBC in November 1963 and is one of the longest-running science fiction series on television. Over the decades the Doctor has met famous enemies like the Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels.

The 11 Doctor Who tiles

The ladder goes from small gadgets to the biggest icons of the show. Jelly babies were the Fourth Doctor’s favourite sweet, and fish fingers and custard was the Eleventh Doctor’s first meal in 2010, along with his love of bow ties. Psychic paper appeared in 2005, the sonic screwdriver in 1968 and the robot dog K9 in 1977. The Weeping Angels debuted in Blink (2007), the Cybermen in 1966 and the Daleks in the show’s second story, 1963 to 1964. The Master, the Doctor’s Time Lord rival, arrived in 1971. The TARDIS, there since the first episode, is the 2048 tile.

Tips to win Doctor Who 2048

  1. Park your biggest tile in one corner like a TARDIS that never moves. With The Master in the corner, build another Master beside it to land the final tile.
  2. Keep your enemies in a line, such as Dalek, Cyberman, Weeping Angel, K9. When the smallest merges, the whole row can move up a level, one regeneration at a time.
  3. Don’t blink and swipe at random. Look at where the new tile could appear and avoid leaving an empty space next to your corner where a small tile can land.
