South Park 2048 is the classic number puzzle set in the quiet little mountain town. Every tile is a character, and merging two of the same moves you up the ladder. Start with Towelie and keep merging until you reach Eric Cartman. It is free to play in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The show is made for adults, but this puzzle only uses character names and emoji.

South Park was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and premiered on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. It grew out of their animated short The Spirit of Christmas, made with paper cutouts. The show still copies that cutout look today, even though it is now made on computers, which lets episodes be finished within days of airing.

The 11 South Park tiles

The ladder goes from the town’s side characters to its four boys, with Cartman on top. Towelie and Mr. Hankey, the Christmas poo, start things off, followed by school counselor Mr. Mackey and teacher Mr. Garrison. Chef, the school cook, and Randy Marsh, Stan’s geologist father, come next. Butters is the sweet, easily fooled kid in the class. Then come the main four: Kenny in his orange parka, Kyle in his green hat and Stan in his blue hat. The 2048 tile is Eric Cartman, the loud boy who demands people respect his authoritah.

Tips to win South Park 2048

  1. Pick one corner of town for your best tile. Stan should stay next to it so two Stan tiles can merge into Cartman without leaving the wall.
  2. Build a falling row like Kyle, Kenny, Butters, Randy Marsh. A single merge at the small end can then move the whole row up the ladder.
  3. Avoid random swiping. Before each move, look at where the new tile could appear and keep that space away from your chain of main characters.
