Play Star Wars 2048 online

Star Wars 2048 is the classic number puzzle set in a galaxy far, far away. Each tile is a character from the saga, and merging two of the same brings in a more powerful one. Slide the board, keep your strongest tile in a corner and fight your way to Darth Vader. It is free to play in your browser on a phone or computer, with no download.

George Lucas released the first Star Wars film in 1977, introducing Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, the droids and Darth Vader. Yoda joined in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi in 1983. Decades later, The Mandalorian brought in Grogu, a young member of Yoda’s species.

The 11 Star Wars character tiles

The ladder climbs from small creatures to the most feared figure in the galaxy. Jawas, the hooded scavengers of Tatooine, come first, then the Ewoks of Endor and Grogu from The Mandalorian. The droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, who appear in every main saga film, follow. Next are the heroes of the original trilogy: Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. Yoda, the Jedi Master who trains Luke, sits just below the top. The 2048 tile goes to Darth Vader, the Sith Lord who is revealed as Luke’s father in The Empire Strikes Back.

Tips to win Star Wars 2048

  1. Hold one corner like a fortress and keep your strongest character there. Once Han Solo sits in the corner, keep swiping toward it so he is never pulled away.
  2. Build a chain in order along one edge, such as Luke Skywalker next to Han Solo next to Princess Leia. One merge then triggers the next, like a well-planned attack run.
  3. Do not swipe away from your corner unless you have no choice. One careless move can drop a Jawa into your corner and trap your best tile in the middle.
