Wings of Fire is a fantasy book series by Tui T. Sutherland, which began with The Dragonet Prophecy in 2012. The first books follow five young dragons, Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight and Sunny, who are raised to fulfil a prophecy and end a war between the tribes. Later arcs travel to Jade Mountain Academy and across the sea to the lost continent of Pantala.

The 11 Wings of Fire tiles

The first ten tiles are the ten dragon tribes. The seven tribes of Pyrrhia come first: MudWings, SandWings with their venomous tails, SkyWings from the mountains, SeaWings who can breathe underwater, colour-changing RainWings, frost-breathing IceWings and the mysterious NightWings. The three tribes of Pantala, introduced in the Lost Continent arc, follow: HiveWings, SilkWings, which spin silk, and the plant-loving LeafWings. The 2048 tile is the Dragonets of Destiny, the five heroes of the first arc, a MudWing, SeaWing, RainWing, NightWing and SandWing, who brought peace to Pyrrhia.

Tips to win Wings of Fire 2048

  1. Choose a corner as your dragon’s lair and keep your best tribe in it. With LeafWings guarding the corner, raise another LeafWings next to them for the final merge.
  2. Line up tribes in a row from big to small, like SilkWings, HiveWings, NightWings, IceWings. A merge at the small end then flies straight down the line.
  3. Don’t rush into battle. Avoid the one swipe that drags your corner tile into the open, and clear small MudWings tiles before they crowd the board.
